Winter Bogey Sunday 14th February 2016
Fresh from his Howdidido trip to Morocco, Brian Bidwell recorded a superb score of +5 to win division 1 of the Winter Bogey. Regarded as the toughest format in golf, players score a + for a birdie or better, a 0 for a par, and a - for a bogey or worse. Brian starting on the 10th made a quick start with nett birdies on the 10th and 11th holes however stunning run of 6 nett birdies in 7 holes from the 18th to the 6th ensured that Brian had a comfortable 3 shot margin of victory over runner-up Guy Mummery. Third place in division 1 went to Colin Tweddell, he just edged Andy Coleman into fourth place on a count back.
Division 2 in the Winter Bogey was a closer contest, Roger Hutton coming out on top with his score of +1. Runner-up was Brian Poppy with his score of level, with Bob McGill picking up 3rd place with -1.
